I was honored to participate in a Beautiful Bizarre Magazine curated exhibition "Animalia" at the Haven Gallery in New York, October 2021. The show was beautifully hung by the talented gallery director, Erica Berkowitz and had a diverse showcase of the best new contemporary artists from around the world. The exhibition was curated by Danijela Krha, Editor-in-Chief at Beautiful and Bizarre Magazine. I was thrilled and deeply honored to contribute my work "Duo and Duet"
I was able to attend the opening through a Professional Development Grant through Metropolitan State University where I teach drawing and painting as a community faculty.

Artist Statement:
My heart kept aching.
So, I wanted to forget as time
passed into brushstrokes what that
meant.
Still, I'll hold out my hand. To take
it is the door for you into
the calm and chaos of wonder's
land.
Whimsy and humor, with a dash of
pain.
A storyteller am I.
Come all and play inside.
This, my Utopian dream.
